These are the beans (or nuts) harvested from cacao pods, fermented, sun-dried, and roasted to perfection. Use them in baking and dessert-making as you would any other nut, i.e. on salads, cakes, in cookies, etc. You have not experienced chocolate in its purest form until you chew a teaspoon of these. Then you will know the origin of chocolate. This is a raw product and shells may be encountered. Examine and remove any shell prior to using.
